Big Lizard explores themes of adventure and discovery in a prehistoric world.
We introduce science topics through stories about family and friendship.
BIG LIZARD
Big Lizard is a very big amphibian!
On planet Proxima, he's the very first fish to have grown legs and walked out of the water, so he's some way back on the evolutionary path.
That leads him into all kinds of silly escapades alongside Cosima, but with his happy-go-lucky demeanour, Big Lizard always comes up smelling of roses!
COSIMA
Cosima is the daughter of an astro-scientist and an astronaut adventurer in her own right.
She loves nothing more than exploring, taking on hazardous missions, and hanging out with her new best friend, Big Lizard.
Capable, bright, and funny, Cosima loves being in charge and caring for her animal friends and their planet.
DAD
Put upon Dad is an astroscientist on a mission to explore unknown worlds.
Crash-landing on Proxima ticks all the boxes, but unless Dad can fix the ship, no amount of discoveries or data will allow them to leave.
Torn between looking after his adventurous daughter Cosima and her wayward bestie, Big Lizard, is a full-time job.
D.O.R.I.S.
The world's most powerful supercomputer has a glitch, causing D.O.R.I.S. (Digital Online Robotic Intelligence System) to veer between super-helpful and super-silly.
Her greatest desire is to be one of the gang, part of the team, and fortunately, she's stranded with a family who love her for just who she is.

Steve is the founder of Beakus, an English animation studio based in Lewes, East Sussex. A proud winner of a British Animation Award and an Annecy Crystal, Steve loves animation and France!
French director Amaël lives in Paris with his family and works as a director and illustrator. You might have seen his work for Kiehls, the Apple Store in Paris, or the Musee du Quai Branly. Amael loves all things science and nature.
